Just about anything that strikes one's heart in full force tends to permeate into the surface of its deepest skin of one's mental zone where moments settle its roots deep down memory lane. And if it happens to be an unforgettable one, then the moment roots even harder until it gets familiar enough to retrieve its flashbacks at any occasion. However, ironically, it is somewhat horribly ridiculous how human also tend to forget its own enlightening experiences unimaginably quicker than one could ever imagine. Perhaps, the world history itself depicts; whether in words, paintings or sculptures, how the horizon of timeline has been passionately documented. Indeed, our ancestors' desperate endeavors have been consistently captured throughout the arrays of generations for the sake of long remembrance, As we all may know, photography has played a cornerstone role in the modern tradition of world documentary, and undoubtedly, its delivery is still in great effect, Now that the professions in photography got widely diversified and deliberately categorized, from every camera shutter, we get different views of the world. Thus, it becomes easy to say that every snapper's viewpoint varies, and every snapper's viewpoint do reflects its unrefined force of its real being, As to mention further about 'view,' I am speaking of photographer's intuitive top priority, preference, personality, philosophy, and most importantly, its instant perception in decision making. I believe every viewpoint accompanies its own distinctive smell and texture, purely reflecting photographer's state of mind. Moreover, it really gets too holy to witness one's own moment of truth being lively captured, especially, when one has not noticed when the picture had been taken. I remember the first time Chanyc passing me out bundles of pictures of me rocking parties and jams in Seoul on a smooth Hip-Hop day, I mean the snaps were full of raw captures of shows that I rocked and every picture vibrantly retrieved my forgotten memories back into life, vividly plunging me back into the good old times, This great feeling was neither because of its high quality printing nor its professional technical adjustments, but rather the right sets of tone which brought the right vibe that eventually made me feel right. No lie, the pictures took me back into those particular moments, thankfully, allowing me to experience the rising temperature of its moments once again.
Again, I am so grateful to have Chanyc in Seoul, documenting the moments of truth around the city. Through his photography, I have come to revitalize my own recognition and pride to rep my city right to the fullest; realizing that truth happens in real time, and it never takes time to recognize an inspiring one. So, with all my heart, I do strongly believe in my brother's pure passion,
integrity and ultimately his artistic pursuit, My man is on a beautiful mission
to walk the right way, doing it right as how Jamel Shabazz's photography wholly
reflects the innocent faces of Brooklyn community. Real is timeless at all times, and Chanyc's photos are always going to be real as how it is. Word up, For real, classics are classics, and real recognize real, I hope you dig what I dig. Real life document, that's real Hip-Hop to me. Peace. |
